To the north of the site we have constructed 6 new dwellings. These homes are a mixture of 5 no. 4 Bed 7 Person units with a single 3 Bed 5 Person unit on the end. These new dwellings directly face a Grade II* listed Edwardian terrace.

As such, they have been carefully designed with collaboration alongside the LPA. Similarly to the retail units stepping back from the road in stages, it was decided that these terraces would also attempt to open up the “streetscape” by stepping away from the road.  Arenig Street is currently very narrow, detracting from the majesty of the Grade II* listed terrace. The design was made simple and elegant, not only to reduce the likelihood of competing with the Grade II* listed terrace, but to seamlessly form from the existing terrace sitting adjacent to the site. The materials used are all present in the proposed dwellings immediate area, assisting in blending the new units into it’s immediate surroundings.
